John J. Phillips

John “Jack” J. Phillips, 86 of Hull, MA passed away surrounded by his loving wife and sons on March 29, 2022. Jack was born on May 3, 1935 to the late William and Olive (Beaulieu) Phillips. 

Jack was the beloved husband of Catherine F. (Burke) Phillips. He was the loving father of John Phillips, Robert Phillips, Kimberly Boudreau and her husband Mike, Christina Dahill and her husband Dan and David Phillips and his wife Jen. 

Jack was the cherished grandfather of 8, Cory, Alex, Ashley and Shawn Boudreau, Cassidy, Jack and Sarah Dahill and Sydney Phillips. Jack also has 1 great grandchildren Braden Boudreau.

Jack was raised in Hingham and served in the U.S. Army from 1956- 1959. Jack worked on Nantasket Beach from a young boy selling ice cream and then throughout his whole life as foreman of the MDC/DCR Nantasket Beach reservation for 43 years.

Jack had a true passion for the beach properties and in 2006, a playground on the beach was dedicated in his name. Jack also served as a call fireman in Hull. When not working, Jack enjoyed  spending time with his family boating, camping, vacationing and gardening.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull on Monday at 11am. 

Burial will be private.
