Morrison, John J. of Quincy at the age of 92 on May 20, 2006. Husband of the late Mary C.(Kocher) Morrison. Father of Anne Marie Morrison of Quincy, Winifred Johnston of CO, John J. Morrison of FL and Patricia Cavanaugh of PA. Brother of the late Winifred Foley. Mr. Morrison is also survived by 8 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, WOLLASTON Wednesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in St. Joseph’s Church at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Mount Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury. John J. Morrison, a retired warehouse manager at Jordan Marsh Co.,(now Macy’s) died Saturday May 20th at the age of 92. Mr. Morrison was born in South Boston and later moved to Dorchester and then to Quincy. He was a graduate of Boston Latin High School. Mr. Morrison was a member of the Civilian Conservation Corps. in Connecticut. He married the late Mary(Kocher)in 1939 and raised four children. Mr. Morrison love to travel to Europe and the Western part of the country. He spent many winter seasons in Vero Beach, Florida. He enjoyed going on cruises. He was the past President of the Merry Shores Club in Quincy as well as the St. Ann’s Club in Wollaston. Mr. Morrison attended the Campion Retreat Center in Weston, MA on a yearly basis until recently. Mr. Morrison loved all types of sports. He was a bowler and enjoyed playing pool. His love of reading never ceased. He was well known for his great sense of humor. He had the wonderful ability to tell a joke and was a terrific story teller. On occasion he could be persuaded to belt out a tune or two. Donations in memory of Mr. Morrison may be made to the Campion Center, Jesuit Retirement Home, 319 Concord Road, Weston, MA 02493.
