John J. Miller

Miller, John J. of Hanover, formerly of Wyoming, PA & Kingston, PA passed away on May 31, 2012. The beloved husband of 71 years to Cecilia A. (Ritchie) Miller. Loving father of Carole McNamara of Hingham. Brother of Alberta Miller of PA. Devoted Papa to Robert McNamara and his wife Heather of Sciutate, Karen Corrao and her husband Edward of Pembroke and Ella Cinquino and her husband Joseph of CT. Cherished great grandfather of Olivia, Natalie, Justin, Noah and Dylan. Uncle of Joanne McHale of PA, Joseph Miller of NY, Jim Miller of MD and Rick & Norah Miller of PA. John was born and raised in Pittston, PA. He graduated from Pittston High School and furthered his education at Kings College, where he studied accounting. He lived in Wyoming and Kingston PA for many years before moving to Hanover back in 2007. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp during W.W. II. John loved to walk. He was an avid sports fan, but the essence of his life was his family, he was devoted to them. He will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Monday morning from 9 -10:30 am in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 11 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
