McLaughlin, John J. of Quincy, July 03, 2010. Husband of the late Patricia McLaughlin. Loving father of Jacqueline M. McLaughlin and her husband David MacInnis of Madison, NH, Janet M. McLaughlin of Old Orchard Beach, ME and John McLaughlin of Quincy. Devoted grandfather of Declan, Delia and Erin MacInnis of Madison, NH, and Molly, Quinn, Joseph, Audrey and David Anderson of Old Orchard Beach, ME. Brother of the late Stephen and Mary Mclaughlin. Nephew of the late Mary Toland. John was born in Boston and grew up in Dorchester before settling in Quincy. John worked as a clerical worker for Boston Edison for 35 years before retiring in 1998. He was a member of the Moose Club in Braintree for many years. John was known as a very charitable man donating to various charities. John was an avid sports fan and enjoyed old movies. John was a United States Army Veteran. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Thursday 5-8PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. Quincy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Keohane Funeral Home at 9:15AM on Friday, July 09, 2010 prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish, Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 10AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in memory of John may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701
