John Lynch of Hull, Massachusetts WWII Veteran John died peacefully at the age of 88, on September 26, 2012. He was born and raised in Glassport, PA. He served in the US Army during WWII in ground combat primarily in Italy. Upon his return, he graduated from University of Pittsburgh and had a long career as a mechanical and chemical engineer in the paper industry. His work took him and his family from Pennsylvania to Maryland to Massachusetts. John was very athletic, an avid bowler, golfer and New England sports fan. He loved music and to dance, especially the polka! John will be remembered for his charming manner and his generosity. John is survived by his loving wife, Ida. He was predeceased by his first love, Jean. His children, Marla and David will miss him very much along with 2 grandchildren, Eric and Hannah. He also leaves his brother, Edward and his sister in law, Dorothy; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Private burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
