John J. Lipsett

John J. Lipsett of Weymouth, formerly of Hingham, died November 23, 2018 at the age of 84.

John was the owner and operator of Lipsett and Sons, a fuel oil dealer company on the South Shore. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves and was a member of the Lodge of Elks and Cornerstone Masonic Lodge in Duxbury.

Loving father of John J. Lipsett, Jr. and wife Carol and Robert W. Lipsett, all of Hingham. Former husband of Kathleen J. (Martin) Lipsett of Hingham. Brother of Ethel Stacy and husband Bill of Pembroke. Proud “Grampy” of Christopher Lipsett and wife Naomi, Kenneth Lipsett and wife Sara, Scott Lipsett; and great grandchildren: Savannah, Maya, Georgia, and Jackson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
