John J. “Jack” Saniuk, of Hull and formerly of South Weymouth, died suddenly at his home on Friday, February 15, 2019. He was 57.
Born in Boston, he was raised in Dorchester and was the son of the late Michael S. and Helen A. (Kutzko) Saniuk. Jack graduated from Boston College High School with the Class of 1980. Jack continued his education at Babson College, where he played basketball and was a 1,000 point scorer for the Beavers, and earned his bachelor’s degree with the Class of 1984.
Following college, Jack worked in the finance industry. In his spare time, Jack enjoyed working as a basketball referee, playing golf, and spending time with his family. His family gave him the most enjoyment in life, and he was most proud of his children. A man of faith, Jack and his wife raised their family with love and devotion.
Jack was an avid sports fan. He loved his Boston teams and coaching his children in youth basketball and baseball. Jack enjoyed success candlepin bowling competitively for many years, following in his father’s footsteps.
Jack was a strong person, a dedicated father and loving husband. His passion, morals and life lessons continue as his legacy through his family and friends. He will be missed by all the lives he touched.
Jack was the beloved husband of Diane (Richardson) Saniuk. Together they shared 23 loving years of marriage. He was the devoted father of Matthew J., Lauren M., and Brian M. Saniuk, all of Hull. Jack was the dear brother of Jane Saniuk Vitello and her husband Paul of Houston, Texas and Michael P. Saniuk and his wife Mary of Hanover. Jack is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday, February 19th from 4 through 8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9 AM on Wednesday, February 20th prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to Hull Boosters Club, P.O.Box 305, Hull, MA 02045
