Ridge, John J. “Jack” Jr., 71 years of age of Quincy, passed away after a long illness on May 28, 2009 with his loving family by his side. Jack was born June 12, 1937 to the late John J. Ridge, Sr. and Mildred M. (Allen) Ridge of Boston. Jack is survived by his wife of 34 years, Sandra K. (Gillis) Ridge of Quincy. He is also survived by his son John R. Ridge, his wife Robin, and their children, Bradley and Nicole of Carmel, IN, his son Stephen Ridge of Quincy, and daughter Cynthia Donovan and her husband Joseph Leduc of Pawtucket, RI. Jack is also survived by his three brothers, Francis Ridge and his wife Louise of Quincy, Robert Ridge and his wife Jill of Westwood, and Timothy Ridge and his wife Mona of Chicago, IL. Jack is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Jack was a lifelong Boston Red Sox fan and also enjoyed a conversation about sports of any type to anyone who would listen. Jack worked at Adolph Bauer, Inc., in Holbrook, MA, as a machinist for 35 years until retiring in 1999. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Monday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jack may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Contribution Services 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Fl Brookline, MA 02445.
