John J. Greene

Greene, John J. ”Jackie” of Quincy, died August 18, 2015. 

John served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1967 to 1969.  He later spent his career as an electrician most recently for Frasier Engineering.  John and his wife Trudy enjoyed travel and spent many years on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH as well as trips to Ireland, Hawaii, Alaska, Florida and Bermuda.  He was a lifelong Red Sox fan and also enjoyed his trips to spring training.  His hobbies included travel, fishing, good Irish music, and helping out at Sacred Heart BINGO.  Mostly, John enjoyed taking care of his family and those he loved.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor, compassion, faith, and generosity. 

Beloved husband of Trudy (McGowan) Greene of Quincy.  Loving father of Maryellen Greene Aceto and her husband Kevin of ME and John Greene and his wife Laura of Quincy.  Cherished son of the late Nora (Guy) and Patrick Greene.  Brother of Patricia Saulnier of Quincy, Margaret Farrell of Milford, and the late Ann DesRoche.  A proud Papa to Ella, Evin, Megan, Anna, and Fiona.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30 PM.
