John J. Casey

John J. Casey, born October 26th 1959 passed suddenly at his home in Weymouth.

He is survived by his mother Margaret Casey, brothers Donald Casey and James Casey, sisters, Denise Chartienitz, Kathy Meigs, Joanne Zullig and Sandy Casey. John is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews as well as 7 great nieces and nephews. John, known as Jack, was beyond a loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew as well as a great friend to so many.

As a retired teacher and sponsor to many through his nearly thirty three years of sobriety, he gave endlessly to teach people how to live, how to grow and how to be their best. Words can never express the volume of generosity Jack showed to people time and time again. Jack devoted himself whole-heartedly to so many charities and people that were near and dear to him. Not much mattered more to him than doing something to help someone in need. The gap Jack leaves behind is going to be be felt far and wide.  He loved and was loved by so many.

In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Jack’s honor to Medicine Wheel Productions, a charity that meant a great deal to him.

A Celebration of Life Service was  livestreamed on Sunday, December 6th at 11 AM. There was a public walkthrough on Sunday from 1:30-3:30 in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 809 Main Street, South Weymouth (across from South Shore Hospital).
