Rourke, John H. of Cohasset, formerly of Florida and West Roxbury, October 28, 2005. Devoted brother of William J. Rourke of Weymouth, formerly of Hingham and Martha Galligher of Weymouth, formerly of Hyde Park. Loving uncle of John J. and Margaret Rourke, Richard P. and Gail Rourke, and William J. Rourke and Karen Longo. Cherished great-uncle of David Rourke, Richard Rourke, John Rourke, Brian Rourke, James Rourke, Andrea Cupples, Michele Feist, and Elaine Rourke. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Wednesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours 9 :00 – 10:00 AM prior to Mass. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Rourke may be made to Disabled American Veterans, State House, Boston, MA 02133. John was a WWII Veteran in the U.S. Air Force. He was Vice President of Shawmut/Fleet Commerical Banking for over 28 years. He was a member of the Rotary Club of Somerville, VFW Chapter in Cambridge and DAV Chapter. He graduated from Boston University with a Business degree. John was a quiet person who was an avid sports fan especially golf. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
