John Francis Falvey of Hingham, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on May 12th surrounded by his family. John was the loving husband of Carol York Falvey for 60 incredible years. Born in Somerville, Massachusetts the son of Michael and Mary Falvey of County Kerry Ireland. John was predeceased by his son, Stephen Falvey his sister Mary McElaney and his brother Edward Falvey. He was the father of Michael Falvey of Hingham, MA, John and his wife Kathy of Walpole, MA, Robert and His wife Laura of Hingham,MA, and his Daughter in law, Susan Falvey, wife of the late Stephen Falvey, Dracut, MA. John’s greatest joy was his eight grandchildren, Jack, John, Matthew, Daniel, Caitlyn, Aiden, Robert and Christopher Falvey. John was a graduate of Somerville High School, Class 1955. John served in the United States Army Intelligence and upon returning graduated from Northeastern University. He was a General Manager at Mack Trucks until his retirement. John was always involved in youth sports coaching baseball and hockey. He was an avid Boston Sports fan. John was a member of the American Legion, Association of Naval Aviation Patriot Squadron and the Hingham Citizens Police Academy. John and his wife spent many enjoyable retirement years traveling and vacationing in Naples, Florida and attending all his eight grandchildren’s events. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be sent to Dana Faber Weymouth, MA.

Mass of Christian burial at the Church of the Resurrection, 1057 Main Street, Hingham, MA on May 21, 2024 at 11AM
Interment immediately following graveside services at the High Street Cemetery, Main Street, Hingham, MA.
