John F. Roman

Roman, John F. of Quincy, died February 13, 2015, he was 100 years old. 

Mr. Roman ws born in South Boston. He graduated from South Boston High School and served in the Merchant Marine during W.W. II. He sailed for the Merchant Marine for 38 years achieving the title of Chief Engineer. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge since 1957 and a member of the Quincy Yacht Club. He enjoyed working around his home and taking care of his family.  

The beloved husband of the late Joanna (Gerrin) Roman. Father of Frances Roman Prestwich of Barbados, John F. Roman, Jr. and his wife Selma of Somerset, Johanna P. Roman of Malden and the late Michael Roman. John is predeceased by eight brothers and sisters.Grandfather of  Edward, Kirk, Amanda, Johanna, John, Justin, Natasha, Daniela and Bojana. Great grandfather of Daniel, John, Zoey, Madeline, Owen, Cora and Lily. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
