John F. Lewis

John F. Lewis of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2023. He was 72 years old. 

Born and raised in South Boston, he was the son of the late Robert and Dolores O’Neill (Leonard).  Beloved brother of Debbie McPhee and her husband William of Braintree, Marianne Horan and her husband James of Canton, Robert O’Neill and his wife Lorraine of Scituate, Dolores O’Neill of Quincy, Helen O’Neill of Boston and William O’Neill of Weymouth.  Dear friend of Mary Flaherty of Abington and uncle to several beloved nieces and nephews.  

John was a graduate of English High School in Boston, he served in the Army National Guard and spent his entire career with AT&T/Lucent Technologies.  He was an avid boater and loved to travel.  He was an ardent dog lover.     

John will be missed and remembered by many extended family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Monday 8:30 – 9:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial to follow in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
