Kelly, John F. of Brighton, passed away February 23, 2013 at the age of 95.
During WWII, John proudly served in the U.S. Army. Later, he worked full time for both the U.S. Postal Service and the Railway Express Agency. He enjoyed summering in Wells Beach, ME and spending time with family. He will be remembered for his kindness, faithfulness and for being a true gentleman.
Beloved husband of Margaret (Lynch) Kelly and the late Josephine (Pedalino) Kelly. Loving father of Terry Corcoran and husband Ed of Whitman, Margaret “Margi” MacDougall of Naples, FL, Nancy Kelly of Tuscon, AZ, Gen. John Kelly, USMC and wife Karen of Coral Gables, FL and the late Charles Kelly. Brother of Russell Kelly and wife Mary of Port St. Lucie, FL and the late Leo Kelly and wife Babe. Devoted “Grampy” to 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday morning from 9-10:30 AM in the McDonald Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.) A Funeral Mass will follow on Wednesday at 11 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, the 1st Lt. Robert Kelly Memorial Scholarship, 909 N.
