John F. “Jack” Decristoforo

DeCristoforo, John F. “Jack” of Abington, passed away February 26, 2013 surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was 65.

Jack proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a Purple Heart recipient. He went on to work as a postal worker for many years, retiring in 2003. Jack was a proud and loving friend of Bill W. He will be sadly missed.  

Beloved husband of Anne Marie DeCristoforo (Timmons) of Abington. Devoted father of Dani DeCristoforo and Dean Gurley of Whitman, Jessica DiRamio and her husband Jon of Whitman and Emily DeCristoforo and Dean Malchionno of Abington. Cherished grandfather of Juliana, Nicholas, Jaclyn, Jenna and Vincent. John was raised by the late “Nana” DeCristoforo and late aunt Mildred McIntire. Loving brother of Elaine Borriello. Cousin of Charles Morris and Michael DeNictolis.  Godfather of Gina Morris. Jack had a special place in his heart for the Timmons family.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.   

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hosp.)  Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Monday at 9 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Jack may be made to Father Bill’s & MainSpring 422 Washington Street, Quincy MA 02169.
