John F. “Jack” Chenette

Chenette, John F. (Jack), of Hough’s Neck, Quincy, died January 25, 2014. 

Beloved husband of Cynthia Chenette (Cindy Pitts), also of Quincy. Loving father of John Chenette and his wife Carrie, the late Matthew Chenette, Lucas Chenette, Michael Chenette, Kristin Chenette and fiancé Eric Westhaver, all of Quincy, Diana Littlewood and her husband Steve of Holbrook, step father of Andrew Jordan of Quincy, brother of Robert Chenette of North Carolina, Carol Blowers of Harwich, Daniel, David, Paul, Francis, Richard (all of Quincy), Elizabeth Lee of Hanover, and Michael Chenette of Medway. Jack was the son of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Bleiler) Chenette; Son-in-law of Herbert and Nancy Pitts of Quincy, cherished Papa of 11 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Jack is also survived by longtime friend John Barry.

Jack was a life-long resident of Hough’s Neck.  He was a master plumber and owner of Jack Chenette, Inc.  Jack was a dedicated family man whose strong work ethic defined him.  He will be remembered most as a generous man with a vibrant personality, zest for living, and selfless ability for always helping others.  He possessed a passion for boating and a love of the outdoors, particularly the ocean.  His family was the cornerstone of his existence and the countless friendships he held were invaluable to him.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 2-4PM &  6-8PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
