John F. Boland

Boland, John F “Jack”. of Quincy, died on June 4, 2016, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer.  The beloved husband of 58 years to Florence (Murphy) Boland of Quincy. Loving father of Daniel Boland of Dracut, Dianne  Boland Fegley of Medfield and James Boland and his wife Emily of Weymouth. Son of the late Patrick and Anna (Deady) Boland.  Brother of James Boland of Brookline.  Cherished Grampy of Samantha, Ryan, Jason and Ian Boland and Margaret and Edward Fegley. Jack grew up in Dorchester, he worked as an engineer for the Commonwealth of Mass for many years before his retirement. He enlisted in the National Guard and proudly served his country for 2 years. Past member of the McKeown Post in Dorchester. Jack enjoyed working around his home as a carpenter, electrician and plumber – he was an all around handyman.   He will be remembered for his strong work ethic as well as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather. He will be sadly missed.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
