John E. Mattson

John E. Mattson, of Nottingham, NH, formerly of Weymouth, died July 20, 2021. He was 78. John proudly served in the US Navy and went on to have a successful career as a plumber. He was a 54 year member with Local #12. He avidly enjoyed hunting and fishing. He will be remembered as a kind and quiet man and a loyal friend.  

Beloved husband of the late Marilyn M. Mattson. Devoted father of Robert J. Mattson of Weymouth. Loving brother of the late Robert Mattson and  brother-in-law of Alice Granlund and her husband Bruce of Seabrook, NH. Dear cousin of Brenda Buresh of Marshfield and George McCosh of Quincy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Graveside Service on Saturday, July 31st at 11 AM in Mount Hope Cemetery, Pine Street, Weymouth MA, 02190.

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of John may be made to Local Union NO. 12, 1240 Massachusetts Avenue, Boston, MA 02125.
