Kennedy, John E. of Quincy April 19, 2004. Beloved husband of Elizabeth (Coogan) Kennedy. Loving father of Janice Gilbert, Kathleen Payne, both of Braintree, Maureen Crowley of Weymouth, John Fitzgerald Kennedy of Rockland, Linda Kennedy of Braintree and Edward Kennedy of Quincy. Grandfather of Jennifer, Brian & Andrew Payne; Stephen & Jessica Gilbert; and Katherine & Brendan Crowley. Brother of Florence McWatters of Somerville and Margaret Kennedy of Medford. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.Mr. Kennedy worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 29 years, retiring in 1993. Later he worked as a courier for Airnet Systems in Logan Airport. He proudly served in the Navy during the Korean Conflict and belonged to the Naval Airship Association. He and his wife just celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary.
