Beloved husband of Catherine J. John was born in Quincy and lived in South Weymouth for 48 years before moving to Middleborough in 2002.  John was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and a hard working man.  He was a proud member of the United States Navy, as a Photographer’s Mate, Third Class.  He worked many jobs at one time starting as a milkman; part owner and then owner of Old Colony Film Transfer delivering reels of film and condiments to numerous movie theaters and drive-ins; school bus driver for the city of Weymouth; driver and tour guide for Brush Hill bus company; and then finally retiring from the United States Post Office.  He enjoyed history; doing cross word puzzles; watching old movies; and traveling. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, supporting all their many activities and accomplishments.  John was a life time member of the Quincy Elks and the American Legion in Weymouth.
