John E. Foster

Foster, John E. “Skip” (retired Quincy Police Officer) of Weymouth August 31, 2004. Husband of the late Martha Sue Foster. Loving father of Suzanne Foster of Quincy, Diane Doser of Stoughton, John Foster of Easton, Daniel Foster of East Bridgewater and Lisa Emery of Whitman. Also survived by 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Friday at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Burial in Lakeview Cemetery, Weymouth.In 1952, John graduated from North Quincy High School. He served in the Naval Reserve and then in the Marine Corps from 1953 to 1956. After the service he worked in the Quincy Shipyard and then for the Quincy Police for 28 years, retiring in 1989. While on the force, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern University and his Master’s Degree from Anna Marie College in Paxton.
