Donahue, John E. of Randolph, formerly of Hingham, December 22, 2005. Brother of Virginia Byrne of St. Louis, MO, and the late Jane Hoffman formerly of Cohasset. Son of the late Bartholomew & Virginia (Boden) Donahue. John is also survived by 17 Nieces and nephews and many grand nieces & nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend graveside committal services Friday December 30 at 1:30 PM in Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset. A Memorial Mass will be held the following week on Saturday January 7, 2006 at 11 AM in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham. John Edward Donahue was born in Boston and educated in Boston, he graduated from Boston Trade School in 1942. He served proudly in the United States Army during W.W. II as a combat engineer. Before his military service, John worked at Boston Navy Yard. During his military service he was in combat during the Battle of the Bulge, he spent time in France, Germany & Belgium. John was a life member of the of American Legion and V.F.W. Jack enjoyed a good cigar while walking Nantasket Beach in Hull, as well as boating and model planes. Donations in memory of John may be made to a charity of your choice.
