John D. Salenius

John D. Salenius  of Quincy entered into eternal peace surrounded by his loving family on  December 18, 2015.  The beloved husband of 64 years to Lois (Hayden) Salenius. Cherished father of Kathleen, James, Maryann and the late Jack, Joseph and Elizabeth. Loving brother of Carol. John is also survived by several grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Born and raised in Boston, John served in the Army National Guard for several years. He worked for Boston Edison for more than 40 years. Permanent Deacon at Sacred Heart Church in North Quincy as well a  member of the Third Order of St. Francis. John dedicated his life in service to others. His faith and his family was the foundation of all that was truly important to him. He will be sadly missed. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday morning from  9-10:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, followed by a Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, North Quincy at 11 AM.

Burial in Old Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
