Among his many accomplishments, John’s lifelong passion for golf led him (along with his business partner Rob Ketterson) to create Boston Golf Club in Hingham. He was often referred to as a “Renaissance Man” because of his widely diverse talents and interests. Characterized by a generous spirit, every decision in John’s life and business was linked to his desire for helping others. After earning his Masters in Chemistry and MBA from Boston College, John began his working life as a chemist for Gillette in Boston. From 1982 to 1993, he became owner and president of Practice Management Systems in Needham. John’s next position was CEO for Mednet Associates in Wellesley, where he remained until 1995 when he became CEO of Camberly Associates in Needham. The development and building of Boston Golf Club began in 1997 and has been John’s primary focus for the last ten years. Heavily involved in multiple charities and fund raising, Golf Fights Cancer and Driving 4 Life ALS Foundation were two of his favorite. John was a former executive officer in the Massachusetts Golf Association and Past President of The Society of Arts & Crafts. He was an avid fine wood worker, gourmet cook and was a car enthusiast. He will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched.
