John D. Macinnis

MacInnis, John D. of Hull, formerly of Quincy, Cape Cod and Sarasota, FL, passed peacefully at home after a very brief illness surrounded by family on June 27, 2016 at the age of 92.

During World War II he served in the 101st Airbourne Division; notably in the Invasion of Normandy and the Battle of Bastogne, Belgium. A recipient of a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star Medal. A kind and loving man, a father figure to many.  His Catholic faith grounded him and he lived it out beautifully, modeling the importance of faith and family. John had a love of the ocean, appreciated all of nature, especially the beauty of New England. He retired from the Commonwealth of Mass Water Division.
