Cook, John, 86, of Hingham formerly of England died July 25, 2012. He leaves behind his best friend of 25 years, Sandra Cabral of Marshfield, and in England his cousins Betty Mackey; William and Ann Mackey, and Karen and Richard Parker. John was a Registered Professional Engineer; and in 1971 left the coal mines of Ashington, England and immigrated to the United States to work at Stone & Webster as a Lead Senior Designer. Not only was he a great poet, but he always loved a good party. He would become the entertainment by both his great story telling and funny antic dotes but also because of his wonderful singing. He will be remembered for his wonderful wit and sense of humor, his kindness and his gentle spirit. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure to have known him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service Saturday July 28, 2012 at 2 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (Off Central St.) Hingham.
