John C. Canniff

John C.  Canniff of Weymouth, died June 5, 2021 at the age of 57.

John had a passion for astronomy and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject with others. He was a computer whiz and worked in several positions in the computer technology field. John was also working towards his goal of becoming a physics teacher, taking classes at UMass, Boston. He was a proud American, environmentally conscious, a fan of the Grateful Dead, a caregiver to many people, and just a good guy.

Beloved son of Dorothy (Philbrick) Canniff of Weymouth and the late John J. Canniff. Loving brother of Richard Canniff and wife Susan of Hudson, FL; and Susan Stanley and her late husband Michael of Boulder, CO. Cherished uncle of Scott Stanley, Cynthia Stanley, Ashley Draket, Josh Canniff and several great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). A funeral service will take place in the funeral home on Thursday at 10:30 AM. Cremation will follow. Donations in memory of John may be made to the South Shore Humane Society, P.O.
