John B. Serafini, Jr.

Serafini, John B., Jr. “Jack” of Weymouth, died October 13, 2020. Loving husband to Christine M. (Sullivan) Serafini. Doting father to John Serafini of Weymouth, Kara Serafini of Weymouth, Kristin Serafini of Quincy, and Kevin Serafini of Weymouth. Proud grandfather to Ryan Serafini, Jayson Serafini, Samantha Serafini, Kaylee Serafini, and one great-grandchild, Laila Serafini. Jack now joins his parents, the late John B. and Catherine (Landry) Serafini.

After graduating from Weymouth High School, he enlisted in the Air Force, where he bravely served his country as a medical specialist during the Vietnam War. When he returned home, Jack enjoyed his family, friends, sports, and cars. He was a proud member of Spindles Auto Club in Weymouth, MA, as well as the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 103. Jack started WJBL, the Weymouth Junior Basketball League and coached little league baseball. He was a former president of Pop Warner Football, and he ran the concession stand with his crew of best friends for many years.

Jack leaves behind a beautiful legacy of selfless acts. He helped all who needed it. He was adored by all who knew him. He volunteered for three decades to Weymouth youth sports. He was loved by many and will never be forgotten, especially by his family.

Services will be announced and held at a later date. Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. Although we cannot gather together with John’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by sharing a special memory or message by clicking the link above.
