Candito, John B. of Hull, died January 1, 2018.
John was born and raised in Hingham and, after marrying his wife Mary, moved to Hull in 1951. In his younger years, John worked for Cronin Farm Diary in Weymouth and then became Head Custodian at the Memorial School in Hull. He was quite the handyman and enjoyed being a craftsman. He was known for his woodworking, especially making dollhouses and model ships. He enjoyed reading and keeping up with current events and politics. John also enjoyed sitting on his porch in Hull and watching the bay for leisure. He was fiercely loyal, highly religious and loved his family deeply. After retirement, John became blind. Despite this set back, he persevered. He will be remembered for his hard working and fun loving personality. He will be sadly missed by all who had known him.
Son to the late Joseph and Frances Maria Candito. Loving husband to the late Mary E. Candito (Slattery). Cherished father to Tony Candito and his wife Carol of Ft. Myers and Bob Candito and his late wife Kathryn of Houston. Cherished Grandpa to Kara, Bryan and Kristina. Great Grandpa to Giacomo.
