John Ark Wing Yep

John Ark Wing Yep, of Providence, Rhode Island, born September 19, 1955, passed away on January 21, 2024.

John grew up in Braintree, MA, attending schools there. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island, majoring in Biology. John worked in computer graphics and studio production at WPRI-TV Providence and Mt. Hope Community Center as maintenance technician and food pantry manager.

John pursued many interests: fly fishing, the outdoors, woodworking. He was deeply engaged in studying traditional Chinese Medicine, herbal healing, and Native American culture. He was an advocate for the underdog and those less well-off. John regaled his friends with his culinary productions as a cook and baker. He will be remembered as understated, gentle, creative, and quirky. He will be missed by his family, friends, and colleagues.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday, January 28, 2024, 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

His funeral service will be held on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 10 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.

Services will conclude with interment in Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
