Scribner, John A. of Huntington, formerly of Quincy, died September 29, 2018.
John’s passions in life were driving his truck, sailing, and of course spending time with family. He received his bachelor’s degree from Bentley University and spent his career as an 18-wheel truck driver, which took him all over the United States. He was a generous volunteer with the Norfolk County Humane Society in Canton, Maquan Elementary School in Hanson, and the Boston Food Bank. He will be remembered for his intelligence, having the ability to say the right things at the right moment, and his joy in helping others. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
Beloved father of Jeremy Scribner and his fiancé Tamika of Quincy and John “Jake” Scribner and his wife Keri of VA. Loving brother of the late Margaret Kelleher. Brother-in-law to John Kelleher of Lakeville. Cherished “Grandpa” to Carson, Cayden, Christian, and Christopher. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to Norfolk County Humane Society, 167 Neponset Street, Canton, MA 02021-2945.
