John A. Ruzzano

John Ruzzano, of Halifax, a retired printer and Air Force veteran, died at Wingate at Silver Lake in Kingston on February 20, 2022. He was 82.

He was born in Boston on July 31, 1939, to Arthur and Angela Ruzzano. He attended Roxbury Memorial High School and, shortly after, he joined the Massachusetts Air National Guard where his unit was called to active duty. John’s service instilled a spirit of patriotism that he carried throughout his life.

John worked as a printer for many companies across the South Shore. Always one to keep busy, he also worked as a bartender for many years and after retiring from both, he returned to work in the bakery at Stop & Shop.

Family and friends were John’s number one priority. However, food, chocolate and NACSAR were not far behind.

The loving husband of 39 years to Candace E. Ruzzano, he was also the devoted father to Joanne Ruzzano of Weymouth, John Ruzzano and his wife Jennifer of Carver, Rich LeBlanc of Rockland, Buffy Sweeney and her husband  Steven of Hanover, Lisa LeBlanc of Weymouth and the late Lynne Ruzzano Sullivan, the dear brother of Arthur  Ruzzano, Jr. and his wife Selga of California, Janet Whooley and her husband Jack of Florida and the late Anthony Ruzzano and his wife Roberta of Scituate and a beloved “Puppy” and “Papa” to 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Saturday, March 5 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital, Weymouth.
