John A. Badger Jr.

John A. Badger, Jr. of Braintree, formally of Quincy, passed away on April 13, 2016. Raised in Squantum, Jack was educated at North Quincy High School.  He proudly served his country in the USMC in Korea. His love for the ocean, boating and fishing was great.  He once built 2 18’ snipe sailboats in our basement.  You could always find him restoring a boat at different yacht clubs from here to the Cape.  

He was the son of the late Gerda and John Badger of Brewster.   He is survived by his two sons, Jon and his wife, Karen, of Whitman; Jeffrey and his friend, Sharon, of Florida; 6 grandchildren: Sean of Quincy, Reanna and Candace of Florida; Erika, Jared and Leah of Whitman.  Also 6 great grandchildren, his ex-wife, Judith LeBaron Badger; two brothers, William of Florida and Robert of Brewster and his longtime companion and friend, Judith Vardaro.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 5-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. For the dedication and service to his country, Military honors in memory of John will be celebrated on Thursday at 7 PM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
