Brazil, Johanna “Josie” of Quincy formerly of County Waterford, Ireland, March 25, 2006. Daughter of the late Denis & Johanna Brazil. Sister of Thomas Brazil of London, England and Alice Grimes of Galway, Ireland. Josie is predeceased by 10 brothers and sister the late James, Patrick, Walter, Michael, Stacia, Nellie, Kathleen, Mary, Margaret and Bridget. Aunt of Thomas “Tony” Dee of Quincy, Susan Dee of Medford, Mary Moore & Morris Dee both of England, Edward Dee of Ireland and the late Patrick Dee, Michael Dee, John Dee, Dennis Dee, James & Alice Dee. Great Aunt of Patrick Dee, Thomas Dee, Cheryl Dee Kelley, and Christine Dee Rose all of Quincy and James Dee, Brian Dee, Kevin Dee, Brandan Dee and Patrick Dee of Medford. Josie is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Thursday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Johanna “Josie” Brazil was born in County Waterford, Ireland. She came over to the United States in 1965. She worked for the Archdiocese of Boston as a housekeeper in the rectory at various churches such as St. Francis in Medford, St. Charles in Woburn, Blessed Sacrament in Malden and St. Elizabeth in Winchester. After she retired from the Archdiocese she began working as a homehealth aide for private families. She was a devout Catholic and very dedicated to her large extended family of many nieces and nephews.
