Joe E. Montoya

Joe E. Montoya, Retired BFD of West Palm Beach, FL, and Weymouth originally from Savin Hill, died unexpectedly on April 17, 2021. The beloved husband of Francine ( Feldhandler ) Montoya of West Palm Beach, FL and husband of the late Elaine G. (Albanese) Montoya. Loving father Elaine Cavicchi of Weymouth, Stephen Montoya, Ret. BFD and his wife Gayle of Weymouth, Maria Foley and her husband David of Pembroke, David Montoya, BFD and his wife Linda of Norwell, Joseph Montoya, BFD and his wife Michelle of Hanover and the late Charlene Adams and her husband Ray of Weymouth. Step Father of Mitch Feldhandler of Abington. Son of the late Climaco and Sara Montoya. Brother of Cleo Martinez, Raquel Gonzales, Leah Stevens, Samuel Montoya and his wife Margarita, Charlotte Trujillo and her husband Noah, Maxine Stinemetze and her husband Vic David Montoya and his wife Deborah all of Colorado and the late Priscilla Espinoza, Dolores Montoya and Marta Beaulieu, Joe is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Joe was a proud United States Navy Veteran. He was a Boston Firefighter serving on Engine 22 for many years. He owned and operated barber shops in Dorchester and Quincy for 60 years. In his free time Joe enjoyed playing Bocce and following New England sports. His family was the foundation of all that was truly important to him.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joe may be made Boston Fire Burn Foundation, 55 Hallet St., Dorchester, MA 02124.

Burial will be private.
