Joanne E. Getek

Joanne E. (Dixon) Getek of Pepperell, died peacefully at home with her family by her side on March 6, 2021 at the age of 69.

Joanne devoted her life to her family. Nothing made her happier than spending time on her deck surrounded by loved ones. She enjoyed listening to music, traveling and spending time at the beach.

Beloved wife of Alex F. Getek. Loving mother of Frank Getek and Nikki of Bedford; and Rob Getek and Jenna of Baldwinville. Cherished “Grandma” of James, Emily, Cameron, Robbie, Alex, Jackson, Benjamin, and Lila. Loving sister of Robert Dixon and Barbara of Falmouth; Alice Wladyszewski and Frank of Rockland; Helen Russo and Frank of Pembroke; Kathy Murphy and John of Weymouth; Paul Dixon and Diedre of Roslindale; and the late Linda Daggett. Sister in law of Mary Grogan and Steve of Braintree.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday 12-2 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A private service will be celebrated at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joanne may be made to Home Health Foundation.

Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. For those unable to gather with Joanne’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by sharing a special memory or message by clicking the link above.
