Joanne (Duffley) Caruso

CARUSO, Joanne (Duffley), RN, of Hingham formerly of Dorchester and North Weymouth, MA passed away on November 14, 2013. 

She was the cherished wife, best friend  and companion of Anthony for 51 years. Loving mother of Dr. Anthony J. and his wife Barbara of IL, Richard L. and his wife LeeAnne of NE, Stephen M. and his wife Anne-Marie of NH, and Lisa M. Costa and her husband Frank of Norwell, MA.  Devoted Grandmother of Elizabeth, Robert, Thomas, Daniel, Ann and William of IL; Nicholas, Alexander, Shayna and Tori of NE; and Gabriella, Joseph and Gianna of Norwell, MA .  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She is the loving niece of Elizabeth D. Forsyth of Weymouth and was the daughter of the late Richard and Elinor (Bailey) Duffley.  Sister of Richard, Kevin and Robert Duffley. Pre-deceased by her sister Elinor (Carol) Hennessey.  

She was an avid Patriots fan, accomplished poet and loved her days at Foxwoods and Las Vegas. She enjoyed cruising and reading.  She graduated from Cardinal Cushing High School and Boston City Hospital School of Nursing.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Sq.)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at Monday at 9:30 AM prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester. 

The Caruso Family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the people and staff of Southwood Norwell Nursing Facility in Norwell and to Beacon Hospice for their care and compassion given to Joanne.

Joanne will be sorely missed by all who came in contact with her.
