Joanne C. Leonard

Leonard, Joanne C., 62, of Weymouth, passed away suddenly but peacefully at her home on September 9, 2017.

Born in 1955, Joanne was raised in Saint Peters Parish in Dorchester. Daughter of Joan Leonard, 91, of Weymouth and the late James Leonard. Joanne attended Saint Peters School and Monsignor Ryan Memorial High School. Joanne was employed over 30 years at Nynex and Bell Atlantic in Boston which later became Verizon.

Survived by Jim and Joan Leonard of Belmont, NC, Mary and James Condry of Newbury, NH, Elizabeth Leonard of Miami, FL, Charlie Leonard of Portsmouth, RI, Joseph Leonard of Quincy, Paula Buchanan and Carl Wolffe of Wilmington, Michael and the late Maureen Naymie of Westwood, as well as countless nieces and nephews.

A lover of life, music, animals, beaches, the sun and Boston sports, Joanne reminded us that daughters and sisters are a gift to be cherished, embraced and remembered forever for their love, friendship and understanding.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Burial at a later date will be private.
