Park, Joan V. (O’Brien) of Quincy, died September 11, 2017.
Beloved mother of Robert Park Jr. of Quincy, Thomas Park of Weymouth, Laurie Park of Quincy and Nancy Bailey of Randolph. Beloved Nana of Jessica, Melissa, Blake and Mark and Great Nana to Michael and Brooklyn. Loving sister of Patricia Mitchell of Watertown and the late Ernestine Clark, Theodore O’Brien, Robert O’Brien, Jerome O’Brien Jr. and Marie Madden. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Joan grew up on Brent Street in Dorchester where she graduated from Dorchester High School for Girls. She worked as a clerk for the Massachusetts Department of Revenue for many years. Joan spent summers with her children in Duxbury and enjoyed traveling with her sister especially to Ireland, Hawaii and Mexico. She was an avid reader and had a talent for drawing. Joan’s main passion in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joan may be made to VNA Hospice Care, 100 Tradecenter, Woburn, MA 01801.
