Joan P. Romano

Joan P. (Gallery) Romano, of Weymouth, died October 1, 2020. 

Joan grew up in Dorchester and graduated from an all girls high school. She also lived in Roxbury before settling in Weymouth over 50 years ago. Joan was a member of the Abington VFW. She could often be found reading. Joan spent many many summers at Hampton Beach with family and great friends. Joan’s family was the foundation of all that was important to her and she was happiest when surrounded by those she loved. 

Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Romano. Devoted mother of Lawrence Romano, Jr. of Weymouth, William R. Romano and his wife Patricia of Easton, Joseph E. Romano and his wife Laura of Maine and Noreen T. Romano of Weymouth. Cherished “Ma” to Sheila, Lauren, Krissy, Megan, Jacob, Joe and great-grandchildren CC, Hannah and Elijah.Daughter of the late William and Norma Gallery. Loving sister of the late James Gallery and his wife Carol. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday 9-11 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). 

A graveside service will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth. 

Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. If you are unable to gather together with Joan’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by sharing a special memory or message by clicking the link above.
