Joan P. Chrisom

Chrisom, Joan P. (Kenney) of Milton formerly of Wollaston, September 20, 2005. Beloved wife of Peter J. Chrisom, Sr. of Milton. Loving mother of Peter J., Jr. and his wife Kathleen of Weymouth, Sean V. and his wife Faith of Holliston, Susan M. and her husband Robert deVarennes of Braintree, Brendan K. and his wife Karen of Dover, NH, Patricia A. McCart, Brian M., Maureen H. and her husband Christopher Berry and Kevin B. and his wife Amy; all of Milton. Sister of James P. Kenney and his wife Joan of Wollaston and the late Marylou McCracken, Gertrude Bezdaris, Helen Delano and Jack Kenney. Also survived by 23 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Joan’s whole life centered around her family, home, holidays and her church. She loved her best friend and husband, Peter. Her eight children were each treated as individuals and she loved them with her whole heart. She held a special place for the Blessed Mother and was devoted to her faith. She had unbelievable strength, was a gourmet cook, avid reader and a talented interior decorator. She is remembered for her ability to keep secrets. She never judged people and her family could always talk to her about anything. She had a beautiful smile and always took great pride in her appearance. Her children rember her for more than being their Mother, she was truly their best friend. Joan worked for approximately four years at the Camack Company, an ecclesiastical architecture firm in Boston, as a designer. She also summered in Harwich for most of her married life. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St. , WOLLASTON Saturday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
