Joan L. Christman

Christman, Joan L. (Gerstel) of Quincy, died May 1, 2014.   Beloved wife of Armand Christman of Quincy.  Loving mother of  Linda Christman of Newburyport and Joe Christman and his wife Linda  of Hingham.  Sister of the late Ruth MacDougall, Eileen Lonergan, Barbara Holst, Doris Maloney, Richard, Roy and Fred Gerstel.  Cherished Grammie of Joe Christman of Malden, Jen Christman and her fiancée Trey Spruce of South Boston and Lea Christman of South Boston.  Joan is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews.

Joan was a lifelong resident of Quincy and a graduate of Quincy High School.  Joan enjoyed traveling, cooking, dancing and fishing.  Most of all Joan loved being a wife, mother and grandmother.  She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to have known her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Agatha Church, East Milton, at 10:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
