Joan H. Davies

Davies, Joan H. (Dockendorff) of Braintree passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on May 9, 2021. Joan was born in Brockton to the late William and Hazel Dockendorff. Joan worked many years as a Sales Representative at Fisher-Price and was an accomplished career woman ahead of her time. She had a passion for traveling, finding the best deals on a shopping trip, great love of music and the theater, and was happiest at her paradise in Hobe Sound, Florida. Joan’s vivacious personality was exemplified by her jazzy fashion sense. Joan loved her family and friends intensely with her entire being.

Beloved wife of the late Donald R. Davies, Sr and the longtime companion of the late Gregory Macri. Loving mother of Donald R. Davies Jr. of Weymouth and Karen J. Gerrior and her husband Brian of Hanson and the late Mark S. Davies. Dear sister of Carole Lipscomb of Maryland, William Dockendorff and his wife Alice of Florida, the late Nancy Hemple of Arizona, David Dockendorff and his wife Pam of Scituate, Richard Dockendorff and his wife Donna of Pembroke. Proud Grammy of 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends of Joan’s family are respectfully invited to attend a graveside celebration of life at the Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree at noon on Friday May 14, 2021, please meet at the cemetery office.
