Joan F. Palmer

Palmer, Joan F. (Morash) of Braintree, died September 7, 2014.

Joan was born, raised, and educated in Jamaica Plain, shortly after getting married moved to W. Roxbury for 9 years with her devoted husband, Gerald, of 61 years. Later they moved to Braintree to raise a family and resided there for the next 52 years. Joan was a very involved parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi as a greeter, churchgoer and was extremely devoted to the Blessed Mother. She kept very busy as a homemaker and always thought of her six children before thinking of herself. Joan was a talented seamstress, a member of the Gardeners Guild of Braintree and the Catholic Daughters of America.

She was always so proud of her seven grandchildren and all of their achievements. Joan was loved by all and will be missed by many for showing off her hats around Braintree, always having a smile on her face, and most of all for her caring personality.

Joan is survived by her devoted husband Gerald T. Palmer. Loving mother to Gerald T. Palmer Jr. and his wife Barbara Lucido of Chapel Hill, NC, Stephen M. Palmer and his late wife Ann of Plymouth, Terrence J. Palmer of Braintree, Mark F. Palmer of Braintree, Leonard J. Palmer and his wife Laurie of Scituate, and Mary O’Toole and her husband James. Sister to the late Corrine Jacobsen. Cherished cousin to Gloria Jacobsen, Mary Dhooge, and the late Helene Romagilio. Also survived by seven grandchildren Jill, Darcy Joan, Danny, Molly, Michael, Ashley, and Jimmy.
