Joan E. Moran

Moran, Joan E. (Storan) of Quincy formerly of Dorchester and South Boston died on January 01, 2010. Beloved wife of 55 years of John F. Moran of Quincy. Loving mother of Patricia Moran of Quincy, Barbara Moran of Wrentham, Kate Moran, John Moran MSP, and Timothy Moran QPD all of Quincy and Nancy LeVie of Millis and the late James “Jimmy” Moran. Sister of the late Edward Storan. Devoted “Granna”- of Matthew, Kristin and Kasey LeVie all of Millis. Joan was born in New York and was raised in South Boston before settling in Dorchester and Quincy. She was a graduate of Gate of Heaven School in South Boston. Joan worked for Bank of Boston for 20 years before retiring in 1992. Joan was a vivacious reader always looking forward to the next book. Joan enjoyed dancing and traveling. She was a Trivia Superstar and was a lifeline for “Who wants to be a Millionaire”. Joan loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure to know her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday 4 – 8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home,785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
