BRADFORD, Joan G. (Welch) of Hull died on Sunday February 27, 2011. She was 98. The beloved wife of the late George H. Bradford, loving mother of Nancy A. Carney and her husband Paul of Falmouth, Susan V. Testa and her husband Brian of Georgetown, William A. Bradford and his wife Ann, James M. Bradford and his wife Jenniffer all of Hull and Daniel P. Bradford and his wife Debbie of Hanover and the late George H. Bradford III and his wife Nancy of Vermont. Sister of Gertrude Shelley of Boston and the late Margaret O’Connell, Mary Birmingham, Natalie Flynn, William, Richard and Paul Welch. Joan is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Joan was a long time resident of Hull. She was a devout Catholic who was an active member of St. Mary’s Sodality and their Pastoral Care Group. She also enjoyed bowling. Joan enjoyed traveling with her sisters. She nurtured the many relationships in her life, but none more important than her family. The essence of her life was her family, it was the foundation of all that was important to her. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved to host family events. She will be dearly missed by all those who were blessed to have known her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Saturday March 5 at 10am. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery. Donations in memory of Joan may be made to Wellspring, Inc. 814 Nantasket Avenue, Hull, MA 02045.
