Jo-Ann M. Brennan (nee Wayburn) of Weymouth passed away unexpectedly on Thursday November 4th, 2021.
Jo-Ann was born to Rita and Richard Wayburn in Gettysburg, PA and spent her childhood years on the family farm with her 7 siblings. She developed a passion for music while youngand pursued an early degree in musicology. After moving to Boston Ma., she met RayBrennan, with whom she celebrated 51 years of marriage.
During the years when her three children were young, Jo-Ann helped to support her family with a job at the phone company.
Later, she served as the administrator for GladTidings Church and spent many happy years immersed in helping the church family in a variety of roles.
Jo-Ann had a deep interest in academics and, as her children became older,she returned to school to finish her Bachelor’s Degree. Happily achieving this accomplishment, she continued her education – making all who loved herproud by her earning of a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family therapy.
Upon completion of her Master’s Degree, she began a career in the health care industry,as a case manager for Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Jo-Ann loved to be of help to thosewho were hurting so a career in Social Services was an extensionof her passion as a caregiver. J0-Ann retired in 2020
Jo-Ann loved her husband, children, and grandchildren, as well as horses, marshmallow peeps, and her dog Georgia. She was a devout churchgoer at Crossroads Worship Center in Weymouth, where she touched and blessed the lives ofmany people, especially through the women’s ministry.

Loving mother of the late Michael Brennan, Theresa Brennan of Duxbury, and Deborah Dineen and her husband William, of Whitman.
Sister of Janet Dell’Alba of Jacksonville, FL, Richard Wayburn of Centerville,MA, Mary Rita Waldt of Shippensburg, PA, Robert Wayburn of Manhatten, NY, Thomas Wayburn of Parker, CO, Elizabeth Falkowski of Brocksville, FL, and Gerard Wayburn of Newtown, PA.
Also survived by 10 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet thefamily during the visiting hours on Wednesday from 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
Funeral services will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:30 AM in Crossroads Worship Center, 241 Broad Street, Weymouth.
Cremation will follow.
