Jimmy Devarie Conde, of Quincy and formerly of Puerto Rico, died suddenly on Wednesday, November 5, 2020 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was 51.
Born in Arroyo, Puerto Rico on April 23, 1969, he was raised in Puerto Rico and attended local schools. Jimmy graduated from Cecilio Ramos High School with the Class of 1987. Jimmy moved to the United States in 1996, where he made a home for his wife and children. He worked as a manufacturing manager for Hemanext in Avon. He enjoyed his career and the relationships he built throughout the years.
In his spare time, Jimmy enjoyed tinkering with things as he was an engineer at heart. He was an amateur Ham Radio enthusiast, enjoyed working on cars and motorcycles, reading about physics and engineering and working on computers. He valued education and was always looking to expand his knowledge.
Jimmy was also a photographer. He loved to photograph people’s portraits and nature scenes.
The most important part of Jimmy’s life was his family. He loved his wife and children more than anything. Jimmy was known for being a gentle giant with a great heart. He was loving, caring and thoughtful. His life lessons and example are part of his legacy that continues through his family. He will be missed by all the lives he touched.
Jimmy was a cherished son of Jaime Devarie of Puerto Rico and the late Luisa Conde. He was the beloved husband of Vivian Acevedo Devarie of Quincy, with whom he shared 24 loving years of marriage. Jimmy was the devoted father of James Anthony and Luisa-Raquel Devarie. He was the dear brother of Javier Devarie of Waltham, Jonathan Devarie, Jaime Devarie, Alba Devarie and Isis Devarie, all of Puerto Rico. Jimmy is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday, November 16, 2020 4-8PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.
Jimmy’s funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at the Divine Mercy Parish in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM.
Services will conclude with interment in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
