Jeffrey Stetson Whelpley

November 25, 1959 – December 25, 2018

Born in Milton, MA, raised in Braintree, MA, Jeffrey died unexpectedly on Christmas night, joining his late father, Barry S. Whelpley in heaven. Jeffrey is survived by his mother, S. Marie (LaFayette) Whelpley, sister Laura Nardone, brother David and his wife Carol, sister Joanne, brother Gary and his wife Valerie, girlfriend Rita MacDonald, along with many nieces and nephews. Jeffrey loved his family and many friends.

Jeffrey was a long-time employee of the Gillette Company. Jeffery was an outdoor enthusiast and loved to ski, play golf, and ride motorcycles. In 2013 Jeffery was injured in a motocross accident that led to paralysis below the waist. Jeffrey did not wallow in his plight, he took his paralysis as a challenge, working out five days a week at Journey Forward in Canton, MA and his local YMCA.

Following cremation there will be a private interment. The family will be holding a memorial to celebrate Jeffrey’s life in the spring, and the family hopes to see you all at this celebration. Please consider a donation in Jeffrey’s memory to: Journey Forward, 5 Shawmut Road, Canton, MA 02021
